Servcorp has detailed its ongoing commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices and announced the composition of its independent board, highlighting its dedication to sustainability and governance. The company’s board comprises four directors, including one executive and three non-executive directors, all considered independent.
Material actions and disclosures
Servcorp has been actively involved in sustainability initiatives since 2007, supporting The Green Offices Project as its global platform for re-establishing natural ecosystems through revegetation and offsetting greenhouse emissions. Since then, the company has contributed to the restoration of approximately 95,000 native trees across multiple forest sites, resulting in the restoration of over 950,000 square metres of regional land.
The company’s partnership with Greenfleet, a leading environmental not-for-profit, has made a significant difference through multiple projects in various regions. In 2022, Servcorp expanded its long-term partnership with Greenfleet to grow the ‘Servcorp Forest,’ which is restoring over 30 hectares of critically endangered rainforest in Queensland, Australia.
Servcorp acknowledges the seriousness of climate change and the impact high concentrations of greenhouse gases have on the planet. The company’s approach moves beyond compliance to help shape its role in driving meaningful change and mitigating risks for its clients. It aims to become a sustainability leader in its industry by implementing mitigation and adaptation actions according to its management framework.
Forward commitments
Servcorp has commenced the process of assessing actions needed to incorporate climate disclosures for the year ending 30 June 2027, in line with evolving ESG reporting standards. The company is committed to ensuring full and timely information is provided to all shareholders and stakeholders, adhering to continuous disclosure requirements.
The company also plans to continue its partnership with Greenfleet, with the intention of contributing up to $1 million over 10 years to projects for native ecosystems and conservation.
These initiatives reflect Servcorp’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint, offsetting its existing footprint, and educating its teams and clients about the importance of sustainable practices.
Attributed to the Servcorp announcement of 17th page, the company’s dedication to ESG practices and board independence is clearly outlined, providing transparency and accountability to its stakeholders.
