HUB24 Sets Net Zero Scope 1 and 2 Emissions Target for 2030

HUB24 has set a target to achieve net zero scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030, marking a significant commitment to environmental sustainability. The company has made progress towards this goal through an ongoing office relocation and consolidation strategy, as well as the procurement of 100% renewable electricity through GreenPower.

Material actions and disclosures

HUB24 disclosed its scope 1 and 2 emissions for FY26, reporting 244 metric tonnes of CO2-e. The company also disclosed its scope 3 emissions for the same period, totalling 11,917 metric tonnes of CO2-e. Scope 3 emissions were disclosed voluntarily, despite the application of first-year transition relief under AASB S2.

The company’s scope 3 emissions boundary is defined in accordance with the GHG Protocol Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard, and the emissions were calculated using a combination of spend-based, activity-based, and proxy data methodologies.

Forward commitments

HUB24 plans to continue its office relocation and consolidation strategy to achieve emissions reduction. The company also aims to develop scope 3 disclosures in line with AASB S2 requirements for FY27.

Progress against the net zero target will be monitored annually, and the company expects to procure a small quantity of carbon offsets to achieve its target by FY30.
