Amplitude Energy has announced Scope 1 and 2 emissions reduction targets for FY30, focusing on a 40% reduction in Scope 1 emissions from flaring and the integration of renewable energy to support its operations.
Material actions and disclosures
The company reported a 36% reduction in flaring emissions in FY26 compared to FY23, with 23,214 tCO2e in FY26 versus 36,379 tCO2e in FY23. Additionally, Amplitude Energy is progressing a 718 kW solar PV project at AGP under a Power Purchase Agreement with AGL, expected to be first energised in early CY2027.
Amplitude Energy has also voluntarily surrendered certified carbon credits to offset 100% of its residual Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions in FY26, ensuring net Scope 1 and 2 emissions of 0.
Forward commitments
The company aims to further reduce its emissions footprint through value accretive opportunities and direct investment into carbon credit projects to influence project integrity and design.
Amplitude Energy also plans to supply gas directly into power generation to provide firm electricity and grid stability as coal is retired and more weather-dependent renewables are integrated.
These actions and commitments are part of the company’s broader Climate-related Transition Plan, which includes annual workshops and monthly meetings to track implementation progress against projects.
