Accent Group has reported its FY26 greenhouse gas emissions and outlined its climate-related governance and risk management framework, marking its first year of mandatory climate reporting under the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (AASB S2 Climate-related Disclosures).
Material Actions and Disclosures
The Group’s total absolute emissions for FY26 were 12,942 tCO₂-e, comprising 276 tCO₂-e of Scope 1 emissions and 12,666 tCO₂-e of location-based Scope 2 emissions. The reporting boundary includes retail stores, distribution facilities, corporate offices, and vehicles over which the Group has operational control.
Climate-related matters are integrated into the Group’s existing governance framework, with oversight provided by the Audit and Risk Committee (ARC). The Board retains ultimate oversight of climate-related risks and opportunities, considering climate alongside other strategic matters.
The Group’s climate reporting capability was strengthened through the implementation of a climate reporting platform, supporting emissions data management, governance, and future reporting requirements. This investment provides a robust foundation as the Group continues to mature its climate reporting processes and meet evolving regulatory expectations.
Forward Commitments
The Group has not established climate-related targets as at the reporting date and will continue to assess the appropriateness of adopting such targets as its climate reporting programme matures.
Accent Group will continue to develop its climate-related data collection, reporting processes, and analytical capabilities. The scope and sophistication of climate-related metrics, targets, and disclosures may evolve in future reporting periods.
The Group will also continue to refine its management-level reporting processes and document climate-related matters on a more frequent basis.
Accent Group’s FY26 operational greenhouse gas emissions totalled 12,942 tCO₂-e, comprising 276 tCO₂-e of Scope 1 emissions and 12,666 tCO₂-e of location-based Scope 2 emissions. In accordance with the first-year transition reliefs available under AASB S2, Scope 3 emissions were not quantified in FY26.
