SKS Technologies has outlined its sustainability reporting requirements for FY27, focusing on governance, strategy, risk management, and metrics, while integrating Delta Elcom and expanding its Indigenous workforce.
Material actions and disclosures
The company has identified itself as a Group 3 entity for AASB S2 Climate-Related Disclosures under the climate-related financial disclosure regime in the Corporations Act 2001. This requires SKS Technologies to report its performance and progress across governance, strategy, risk management, and metrics and targets at the end of FY27.
SKS Technologies has also integrated Delta Elcom into its operational platform, broadening its network and supporting project execution. The company has maintained a strong safety record, with a 12-year record of zero serious injuries and only two lost time injuries (LTIs) in the last five years across almost 4.2 million productive hours of work.
Environmentally, SKS Technologies has reported a 21.3% decrease in greenhouse gas emissions from its vehicle fleet in FY25 and a 12% reduction in FY26 despite a significant increase in business.
SKS Indigenous Technologies, established in August 2022, has exceeded the national Indigenous population level of 3% in employing First Nations people within six months of operation. The business currently employs 45 Indigenous people in a range of roles across Australia.
Forward commitments
SKS Technologies aims to strengthen its governance framework to meet new sustainability reporting requirements for FY27. The company will need to add additional elements to its operating structure to reflect these new performance-monitoring work areas.
The business also plans to continue its focus on ethical and sustainable sourcing and procurement, aiming to reduce its environmental footprint across all branches.
SKS Technologies is committed to expanding its Indigenous workforce and providing apprenticeships and school-based apprenticeships nationally to create long-term career pathways.
