Boss Energy has outlined its FY2027 sustainability priorities, focusing on workforce safety, environmental stewardship, and responsible growth. The company aims to strengthen its approach to governance, ethical conduct, and reliable information to support sound decision-making and regulatory confidence.
Material actions and disclosures
Boss Energy continued to strengthen its suite of Board-governed corporate policies and standards during FY2026, including a new Corporate Governance Policy, updates to the Code of Conduct, Whistleblower, Continuous Disclosure, and Securities Dealing frameworks. The company also refreshed its health, safety, and wellbeing policies, environment policies, and human rights policies.
During FY2026, Boss Energy refreshed its sustainability data, reporting controls, and governance, preparing for mandatory climate-related financial disclosure under the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards, including AASB S2 Climate-related Disclosures.
Forward commitments
For FY2027, Boss Energy plans to focus on protecting its people and building capability, including improving safety performance through stronger safety leadership, implementation of the Safety Critical Risk Management Framework, contractor management, and consistent verification of critical controls. The company also aims to maintain disciplined radiation protection and develop workforce and leadership capability.
Additionally, Boss Energy is committed to environmental stewardship, maintaining hydraulic control, protecting groundwater, and responsibly managing waste and land disturbance. The company will also progress rehabilitation and closure planning.
Respecting culture and strengthening communities is another priority, with Boss Energy maintaining trusted relationships with Traditional Owners, landholders, regulators, and regional communities through early engagement, cultural heritage protection, and delivery against commitments.
Responsible growth and operational resilience will support the safe and environmentally responsible development of East Kalkaroo, strengthening infrastructure and supply-chain resilience, and integrating environmental, social, and closure considerations into development planning.
Operating with integrity will embed the refreshed policy framework, improve sustainability data and internal controls, strengthen supplier and human-rights due diligence, and complete the governance and reporting work required for mandatory climate-related financial disclosure.
