Ramelius Resources Limited has released its 2026 Sustainability Report, detailing its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and resilience strategies against climate-related risks. The report outlines the company’s approach to measuring and reporting GHG emissions, focusing on Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, and its commitment to adhering to the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act 2007 (NGER Act).
Material actions and disclosures
Ramelius applies the operational control approach to determine its organisational boundary for GHG emissions, capturing 100% of emissions from operations it directly controls. The company reports its emissions based on the corporate reporting year (1 July to 30 June) and uses location-based calculation methodologies for Scope 2 emissions. For the financial year ending 30 June 2026, Ramelius reported a total of 111,276 t CO2-e, with 110,720 t CO2-e from Scope 1 and 556 t CO2-e from Scope 2.
The company also conducted scenario analysis using three climate scenarios: IPCC Sixth Assessment Report (AR6) SSP1-1.5, IPCC SSP5-8.5, and the International Energy Agency (IEA) Net Zero Emissions (NZE) by 2050 scenario. These scenarios were used to evaluate the potential impact of climate-related risks and opportunities on the company’s strategy and business resilience.
Forward commitments
Ramelius does not currently use an internal carbon price or shadow carbon price to assess project feasibility or model carbon-related financial impacts. Additionally, no capital expenditure was deployed specifically towards climate-related risks and opportunities during the reporting period.
Ramelius remains committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for all employees and contractors, with a focus on reducing workplace injuries and driving sustainable improvements in health and safety performance throughout FY27.
