Qantas has reported significant progress on its sustainability goals, including the procurement of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and initiatives to reduce waste. The company has committed to procuring up to $30 million worth of SAF in FY26, representing 15-25% of its total FY26 fuel. Additionally, Qantas has committed to diverting 62% of waste from landfill at priority locations through removal projects.

Qantas has also made strides in operational efficiency, delivering a 1.1% improvement in fleet fuel efficiency per seat on like-for-like sectors. The company has commenced a new SAF agreement at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and its first procurement at Vancouver, marking a significant increase in SAF procurement compared to the previous year.
Qantas has launched a B2B portal for corporate, SME, and freight customers to manage their scope 3 emissions. The company has also surrendered 218kt CO₂-e in compliance with domestic and international obligations.
