Paladin Reports FY2026 GHG Emissions and Outlines Climate-Related Governance

Paladin Energy Ltd has reported its FY2026 greenhouse gas emissions and detailed its governance approach to climate-related risks and opportunities. The company measures its Scope 1 and 2 emissions using the operational control approach, accounting for 100% of emissions from operations under its control. Total Scope 1 and 2 emissions for FY2026 were 127,758 metric tonnes of CO2 equivalent.

Material actions and disclosures

Paladin has established a baseline for Langer Heinrich Mauritius Holdings Pty Ltd and Langer Heinrich Uranium (Pty) Ltd’s Scope 1 and 2 emissions for FY2026. The company has also reviewed and endorsed its Environment Policy, Community and Indigenous Peoples Policy, and the 2025 Sustainability Report.

Paladin’s Sustainability Committee oversees the company’s sustainability strategy and performance, including climate-related risks and opportunities. The committee reviewed and endorsed the FY2025 Corporate Governance Statement, Australian and Canadian Modern Slavery Statements, and the 2025 Sustainability Report.

Forward commitments

Paladin plans to define a roadmap in FY2027 to support future emissions reduction initiatives. The company will continue to refine its approach to assessing and disclosing vulnerability and alignment in future reporting years as methodologies and data availability evolve.

Paladin will also consider entering into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for supply of solar-generated electricity for the Langer Heinrich Mine (LHM), which could potentially reduce energy costs and increase the renewable energy contribution to the site’s electricity supply.

Paladin’s approach to assessing climate-related risks and opportunities is aligned with the Australian Sustainability Reporting Standard (ASRS) and the requirements of AASB S2 Climate-related Disclosures.

These actions and disclosures reflect Paladin’s commitment to transparency and accountability in its sustainability reporting practices.
