Jumbo Australia has reported its FY26 emissions and outlined its plans to comply with the AASB S2 Climate-related Financial Disclosures standard from FY27. The company’s Scope 1 emissions, arising from the use of its company vehicle, and Scope 2 emissions, from electricity consumed at its Australian offices, were 0.7 tCO2e and 158.7 tCO2e respectively. Jumbo’s total FY26 emissions, inclusive of Scope 3 emissions for its Australian operations, amounted to 3,409 tCO2e.
Material actions and disclosures
Jumbo began transitioning its climate governance to manage the transition from a voluntary reporting model to a structured framework designed to meet upcoming mandatory AASB S2 standards. The company’s focus in FY26 was on expanding data boundaries and refining operational footprint calculations across the Group. Jumbo also conducted a Group-level value chain analysis to inform its understanding of relevant climate-related risks and opportunities.
Forward commitments
Jumbo aims to advance report readiness across the business, specifically focusing on clarifying governance and strengthening emissions data reporting. The company is also expanding climate reporting and disclosure training to senior leaders and international subsidiary management teams. Jumbo is engaging external advisors to support its ongoing preparation for AASB S2.
