HMC Capital has undertaken a sustainability strategy review to strengthen its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) integration across its business verticals, including the Energy Transition and Digital Infrastructure sectors. The company expects to provide more detailed updates on its sustainability strategy and commitments in FY27.
Material actions and disclosures
The Board has established a Sustainability Committee to govern the company’s sustainability strategy, policies, reporting, and initiatives across its managed funds. This committee supports and advises the Board in fulfilling its responsibilities to shareholders and employees by ensuring that the company has relevant policies and strategies with respect to ESG risks.
HMC Capital also maintains membership of industry benchmarking organisations such as GRESB and develops a process for establishing and evaluating performance against designated ESG Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
The company has set measurable objectives for achieving gender diversity, including a target of 40% women in senior executive roles, board positions, and across the whole organisation by FY27. The executive team reviews progress on these commitments quarterly and reports back to the Sustainability Committee.
Forward commitments
HMC Capital aims to promote a balanced workforce composition of 40% women, 40% men, and 20% of any gender by 2030. The company continues to focus on initiatives to improve diversity targets, such as parental leave policies, gender pay reviews, and training on diversity recruitment practices.
The company also plans to provide more detail on its sustainability strategy update and commitments following the completion of its sustainability strategy review in FY27.
These actions reflect HMC Capital’s commitment to responsible business practices and governance, as well as its ongoing efforts to enhance its sustainability and gender diversity initiatives.
