Hipages Reports Continued Progress on Gender Pay Equity and Environmental Initiatives

Hipages has reported significant progress on gender pay equity and environmental sustainability, including a narrowed gender pay gap and ongoing grassroots environmental initiatives. The company’s latest report highlights a reduction in its gender pay gap and continued efforts to measure and report its carbon footprint accurately.

Material actions and disclosures

Hipages has maintained its commitment to measuring and reporting its carbon footprint across Scope 1, 2, and partial Scope 3 categories for the fourth consecutive year. The company’s carbon emissions footprint has changed negligibly year on year, with a 12% reduction in Scope 2 emissions from purchased electricity.

The company also continued its environmental initiatives, including the refill sparkling water station program at Sydney HQ, which reduced single-use plastic waste, and the Treely Challenge, a global step-and-reforestation program achieving over 80% participation across its geographies.

Forward commitments

Hipages aims to further enhance its environmental sustainability by maintaining its commitment to sustainable and social enterprise suppliers, including prioritising Indigenous and minority-owned providers. The company also launched hi-cycle, a cans and bottles recycling program resulting in donations to charities.

Regarding gender pay equity, Hipages reported a narrowed gender pay gap, with the average total remuneration gender pay gap for Australian-based employees narrowing from 12.1% to 7.4%, placing the company well below the industry median.

Hipages is preparing for its first mandatory sustainability report due for the financial year commencing 1 July 2027, under the phased mandatory climate-related financial disclosure regime (AASB S2).

These developments reflect Hipages’ ongoing commitment to both environmental sustainability and social equity.
