Data 3 Outlines 63% Scope 1 and 2 Emissions Reduction Target by 2035

Data 3 has announced plans to reduce its Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 63% by 2035, from a 2025 baseline, as part of its broader decarbonisation strategy. The company is also developing a transition plan to support this target, which will include the use of renewable energy across all sites and influencing key vendors and customers.

Material actions and disclosures

Data 3 has reported its total absolute gross GHG emissions for FY26 as 452 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (tCO2-e), with 42 tCO2-e from Scope 1 and 410 tCO2-e from Scope 2 emissions. The company uses the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard to measure its GHG emissions.

Data 3 has also continued to focus on reducing technology waste and supporting responsible end-of-life equipment management. The company encourages reuse and recycling programs wherever possible and provides end-of-trip facilities, lockers, and bike racks across locations in Australia to support more sustainable transport choices by employees.

Forward commitments

Data 3 is committed to developing a transition plan that will outline the overall pathway to reach its climate-related targets. The plan will be substantiated by science-based targets in line with the framework from the Science Based Targets Initiative, including decarbonisation levers focused on the substitution of Scope 2 fossil fuels for renewable electricity.

The company is also developing an implementation plan to support its initial Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions reduction targets, including the planned use of renewable electricity certificates and carbon offsets where appropriate.

Data 3’s strategy is focused on delivering consistent growth by deepening customer relationships, expanding recurring gross sales, improving operating leverage, and strengthening leadership in priority markets, solutions, and services.

These actions support Data 3’s focus on responsible growth, disciplined risk management, and transparent stakeholder reporting.
