Adairs Limited has released its first Sustainability Report, detailing climate-related risks and opportunities under AASB S2 Climate-related Disclosures. The report, which forms part of the Annual Report, outlines the Group’s Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions and identifies climate-related risks and opportunities across short-, medium- and long-term time horizons.
Material actions and disclosures
The Sustainability Report discloses material information about the climate-related risks and opportunities that could reasonably be expected to affect Adairs’ financial position, financial performance or cash flows across the short, medium and long term. Two climate scenarios were applied – a low-emissions scenario aligned with the Paris Agreement goal of limiting warming to 1.5°C and a high-emissions scenario.
The report also sets out the status of the Group’s climate-related targets, including the review of the previously announced commitment to achieve net-zero Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030. A revised climate-related target will be set for disclosure in the Group’s FY27 reporting.
Forward commitments
Adairs aims to integrate climate-related measures into executive remuneration frameworks alongside the setting of the Group’s revised climate-related targets. The Board will consider the integration of climate-related measures into remuneration frameworks alongside the setting of the Group’s revised climate-related targets.
