Dalrymple Bay Infrastructure (DBI) has released its first Sustainability Report and outlined its commitment to safety, diversity, and sustainable procurement practices. The report, prepared in accordance with AASB S2 Climate-related Disclosures, reflects DBI’s proactive approach to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations.
Material actions and disclosures
During the first half of 2026 (H1-26), DBI and its contractors reported no fatalities, serious injuries, or illnesses, and only two High Potential Incidents (HPIs). The company also renewed its partnership with Healthy Rivers to Reef to deliver STEM Schools workshops across the Mackay, Whitsunday, and Isaac regions, aiming to build environmental awareness and future workforce capability.
DBI’s corporate governance framework includes an integrated approach to governance, overseen by a skilled, diverse, and independent Board of Directors. The company has appointed three new non-executive directors since September 2025. Female representation is a priority, with 57% of the DBI Board and 43% of the executive team being female.
DBI conducts due diligence on its suppliers to ensure compliance with relevant laws, including those relating to modern slavery, health and safety, and anti-bribery and corruption. For the new shiploader and reclaimer currently under construction, over 95% of procurement has been contracted with Australian companies, with more than 90% of this being manufactured or fabricated within Australia.
Forward commitments
DBI aims to continue its commitment to safety, diversity, and sustainable procurement practices. The company will set a comprehensive set of leading indicators each financial year to positively impact safety at Dalrymple Bay Terminal (DBT).
DBI also plans to continue its support of community programs that create positive social and environmental outcomes across the regions in which it operates.
DBI’s risk management is embedded throughout the organisation’s activities, with new and emerging risks, including climate-related risks, regularly reviewed and presented to the DBI Board.
DBI’s Sustainability Report provides transparency, clear climate communication, and detailed climate scenario analysis, aligning climate considerations with strategy, capital allocation, and governance.
These actions and commitments reflect DBI’s ongoing efforts to enhance its ESG performance and sustainability practices.
