Castile Resources Ltd has outlined its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitments in its 2026 annual report, emphasizing its strategic focus on reducing emissions and engaging with local communities.
Material actions and disclosures
The company plans to connect to multiple giga-scale renewable energy providers through the Middle Arm Sustainable Development Precinct (MASDP) location, aiming to substantially reduce project emissions compared to conventional remote mining operations reliant on fossil fuels. This initiative is part of Castile’s broader commitment to supporting Australia’s clean energy transition.
Castile continues to engage closely with the Central Land Council (CLC), representing Traditional Owners of the land on which the Rover Mineral Field is situated. The company consults on clearances for field works and engages with local communities regarding future training and employment opportunities. Castile also supports Tennant Creek business and service providers and interacts regularly with the Barkly Region Chamber.
Health and safety remained a priority for Castile throughout the 2025/26 financial year, with no Lost Time Injuries (LTIs) reported by any Castile staff during the period.
Forward commitments
Castile aims to continue its strategic development of the MASDP refining facility, which is expected to provide immediate access to road, rail, port, and logistics infrastructure. The company also plans to evaluate expanding the downstream facility at MASDP to process third-party concentrates.
Castile’s development strategy centres on creating an integrated critical minerals production capability, with the Rover 1 project providing a robust foundation for the MASDP refining plant. The company continues discussions with government, institutional, and strategic funding partners as the Bankable Feasibility Study progresses toward completion.
Castile remains committed to comprehensive environmental stewardship, with the relocation of refining operations to MASDP continuing to substantially reduce the environmental footprint at the remote Rover 1 mine site. Groundwater monitoring and characterisation programmes continued to validate the project’s water management approach.
Castile’s governance practices include maintaining strong government relations and engaging in strategic partnership development with international markets to provide diversified revenue opportunities.
