Alpha HPA Completes First Double Materiality Assessment

Alpha HPA Limited has completed its first double materiality assessment, identifying 16 priority Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) topics that are most material to the company and its stakeholders. Material actions and disclosures

Among the identified priorities, Alpha HPA highlighted climate change mitigation and adaptation, greenhouse gas emissions management, sustainable energy and energy efficiency, and workplace safety. The company is also committed to fostering diversity and inclusion, engaging with first nations communities, and ensuring sustainable use of water resources.

Alpha HPA’s commitment to sustainability is further demonstrated through its efforts to manage and understand GHG emissions across its operations and final products. The company has defined its organisational boundary for GHG accounting using the operational control approach in accordance with the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard. This boundary includes all operations over which Alpha HPA has authority and control.

Additionally, the company has strengthened its transparency and credibility regarding its low-carbon value proposition through an independently verified product carbon footprint (PCF) assessment conducted in partnership with CarbonChain. The assessment quantified cradle-to-gate GHG emissions associated with seven of Alpha HPA’s products, providing a robust basis for measuring and communicating product-level emissions.

Alpha HPA’s Board of Directors oversees the company’s operations, ensuring that the social, ethical, and environmental impacts of the company’s activities are considered. The Risk and Sustainability Committee advises and assists the Board on all sustainability matters, while the executive team engages with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders on environmental, social, and governance topics.

Alpha HPA is also committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for all employees, contractors, and visitors. The company introduced several initiatives during FY2026 to enhance workplace safety, including the use of a Learning Management System (LMS) for all employees and the introduction of automation on the filter press operation to reduce risk.

Furthermore, the company has engaged in various community initiatives, including supporting traditional owner cultural heritage protection and participating in community-led initiatives to promote education and career opportunities for first nations peoples.

These actions and disclosures reflect Alpha HPA’s commitment to embedding ESG principles into its operations and enhancing its practices to align with stakeholder expectations and regulatory requirements.
