Lindsay Reports FY26 GHG Emissions and Climate Resilience Strategy

Lindsay Australia Limited has released its first Climate-related Disclosures report, detailing its FY26 Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions and approach to climate resilience. The report outlines the company’s GHG emissions, categorised into two scopes, and its strategic initiatives to manage climate-related risks and opportunities.

Material actions and disclosures

Lindsay’s FY26 GHG emissions totalled 188,679 tCO2e, with 94% attributed to Scope 1 emissions and 6% to Scope 2 emissions. The company’s emissions inventory was prepared in line with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard (GHG Protocol).

Lindsay’s approach to climate resilience is integrated into strategic planning, investment decisions, and risk management processes. The company does not currently allocate a dedicated budget to climate risk mitigation and resilience activities, but manages expenditure on an ad hoc basis.

Forward commitments

Lindsay aims to evolve its approach to climate resilience as data availability improves and internal capabilities mature. The company expects to develop a climate transition plan to better embed climate considerations into business decision-making.

The company also plans to implement high-value emissions reduction initiatives, such as renewable energy and fleet electrification, and engage suppliers on emissions reduction.

Lindsay’s risk management framework includes the identification and assessment of climate-related risks and opportunities, with oversight provided by the Health, Safety and Sustainability Committee, the Audit and Risk Committee, and the Remuneration Committee.

The report also outlines the company’s strategic planning cycles and the operational life of its assets, with short-term, medium-term, and long-term time horizons selected for analysis.

Lindsay’s approach to climate resilience and emissions reduction is expected to continue evolving as the company progresses its climate transition plan and integrates climate considerations into broader business planning and decision-making.
