Alligator Energy Completes ESG Strategy and Reports Initial Scope 1 Emissions

Alligator Energy has completed its ESG strategy following a materiality assessment involving 17 internal and external stakeholders. The strategy supports project approvals, stakeholder engagement, and responsible project development as the Samphire Uranium Project progresses. Additionally, the company has reported initial Scope 1 emissions from its Field Recovery Trial (FRT) operational activities, totalling approximately 140 t CO2-e derived principally from diesel and petrol combustion on site.

Material actions and disclosures

During FY2026, Alligator Energy continued its groundwater monitoring and progressive rehabilitation activities. Approximately 7 hectares of land were disturbed during the FRT, with 2 hectares hydroseeded as part of the rehabilitation program. Groundwater monitoring improved Alligator’s understanding of groundwater quality, hydraulic containment, and restoration processes, contributing to ongoing regulatory compliance.

Waste management activities included the management of approximately 38 m³ of general waste and 42,000 L of greywater. The FRT provided valuable operational information to improve Alligator’s understanding of waste generation and future waste management requirements.

Forward commitments

Alligator Energy aims to establish a complete Scope 1 and Scope 2 baseline to be reported in the FY2027 Annual Report. The company will continue to work through technical and regulatory requirements to identify an appropriate disposal pathway for waste generated by future operations.

As the Samphire Uranium Project progresses, Alligator Energy will continue to monitor performance against the metrics and targets established through the ESG Strategy. Environmental studies, monitoring, and approvals will support the advancement of the project, alongside ongoing engagement with communities, Traditional Owners, regulators, and other stakeholders.
