Vitura Health Advances ESG Commitments in Latest Annual Report

Vitura Health Limited has outlined its latest Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives in its annual report, focusing on climate risk disclosure, workforce diversity, and ethical business practices.

Material actions and disclosures

Vitura is investigating the early disclosure of climate risks in line with the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) framework. The company recognises the potential impact of climate change on its operations and strategy, and is currently assessing its approach to the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard.

The company also reassesses the materiality of its Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions with respect to its two distribution centres and two operational offices in Victoria and Queensland. Vitura is investigating how to measure, monitor, and report these emissions to stakeholders.

Vitura is committed to fair and responsible remuneration, ensuring wages paid are above statutory minimums and providing fair remuneration for all employees. The company also monitors pay equity through participation in Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) reporting.

The company values diversity and has updated its Diversity Policy to promote diversity strategies in employment practices. Vitura aims to achieve its diversity objectives over the coming two to three years as relevant positions become vacant and appropriately qualified candidates can be recruited.

Forward commitments

Vitura plans to assess the materiality of its approach to the TCFD framework and define an appropriate strategy for gathering and reporting its GHG emissions going forward.

The company will continue to promote employee well-being through initiatives such as the Wellness Leave Initiative, which enables employees to use their personal leave to attend medical appointments with a focus on prevention.

Vitura will also continue to assess and mitigate risks related to modern slavery, particularly when engaging third parties and with international stakeholders.

These initiatives reflect Vitura’s commitment to creating an inclusive and equitable workplace, ensuring fair remuneration, and promoting ethical business practices.
