Super Retail Group has announced its commitment to achieving net zero Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030 and has published its first set of Climate-related Disclosures in accordance with AASB S2. The company’s principal ESG development focuses on decarbonisation and social impact, with a strong emphasis on transparency and governance.
Material actions and disclosures
Super Retail Group has completed a Power Purchase Agreement for 100% GreenPower accredited electricity, which is expected to reduce Scope 2 emissions by over 65% from 2027. The company also achieved a Total Recordable Injury Frequency Rate (TRIFR) of 10.9, a 9.9% improvement against FY25. Additionally, Super Retail Group has launched an Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) 2026-2028, aiming to support reconciliation and improve cultural awareness.
The company has also achieved a waste diversion rate of 72.4%, up from 65.9% in FY25, and contributed over $3 million to community organisations. Super Retail Group has engaged trade partners to improve the quality and availability of emissions data, and has electrified material handling equipment at distribution centres to reduce Scope 1 emissions.
Forward commitments
Super Retail Group plans to publish annual Climate-related Disclosures and update its decarbonisation roadmap annually. The company aims to finalise a carbon offset strategy for FY27 and publish its FY27 AASB S2 Climate-related Disclosures. Super Retail Group also intends to continue improving the quality and completeness of its Scope 3 emissions data and to finalise its gender representation goal in Board, executive and senior leadership positions by 2028.
