PRL Group has outlined its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) roadmap for the fiscal year 2027, emphasizing the strengthening of governance, systems, and data to support sustainable long-term growth. The company’s focus includes integrating Ardmore into its ESG framework and preparing for mandatory climate-related financial disclosures under AASB S2.
Material actions and disclosures
The Group has completed a full review of its Health, Safety, Environment, and Training (HSET) systems, bringing them together under a single governance framework. This move aims to align health, safety, environment, and training under a single system, enhancing governance, accountability, and document control. The review covered critical domains such as management systems, legislative requirements, operational governance, and workforce capability.
A full review of the Group’s HSET systems was completed during the year, assessing their effectiveness and maturity. The review covered management systems and their alignment with legislative requirements, governance and document control, critical controls, workforce competency and qualification verification, emergency preparedness and response, and leadership and succession planning.
Forward commitments
PRL Group aims to integrate Ardmore into its ESG framework and strengthen environmental monitoring and data collection. The company also plans to embed psychosocial and critical risk management practices and enhance governance through digital transformation initiatives, including ERP optimisation, AI governance, and improved data management systems.
The Group is preparing for the introduction of mandatory climate-related financial disclosures under AASB S2. This includes identifying and assessing climate-related risks and opportunities, integrating climate considerations into the Enterprise Risk Register, establishing governance oversight through the ESG and Audit & Risk Committees, and improving the quality and availability of environmental and operational data.
PRL Group’s ESG governance framework is evolving from a collection of site-based initiatives to a more integrated framework aligned with enterprise risk management, operational decision-making, and stakeholder expectations.
