Noumi Limited has announced ambitious targets to reduce its absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 40%-50% by 2030, with an interim target of a 22% reduction by 2026. The company is investing in on-site renewable energy generation, having generated 3,237 MWh of on-site solar energy, equivalent to 2,809 tCO₂-e.
Material actions and disclosures
The Group quantified the amount and percentage of Scope 1 and Scope 2 emission reduction of 40%-50% in tCO₂-e from a 2020 baseline. As at 30 June 2026, the Group achieved an approximately 22% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions from the 2020 baseline. The Group generated 3,237 MWh of on-site solar generation during the year, equivalent to 2,809 tCO₂-e.
The Group has not applied internal carbon prices, has not allocated additional resources specifically in response to carbon pricing and cost of climate regulations, and has not adopted any additional mitigation or adaptation strategies in response to carbon pricing and cost of climate regulations.
Forward commitments
The Group will continue to monitor climate-related risks, opportunities, and regulatory developments. The Group will continue to apply its existing climate-related mitigation measures and pursue opportunities to improve energy resilience and reduce energy costs through on-site renewable energy generation. The Group will continue to assess the need for future transition-related actions as part of its ongoing strategic planning and decision-making processes.
The Group will continue to leverage external funding and opportunities, including Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) programs and other government grants. The Group will continue to consider the combined quantitative information regarding the financial effects of the identified climate-related risks and opportunities. The Group will continue to strengthen supply chain resilience through diversified sourcing arrangements and supplier engagement.
The Group will continue to maintain business continuity in response to extreme weather events that may affect agricultural production, logistics networks, and infrastructure.
