Janus Henderson Sustainable Credit Active ETF has outlined its commitment to sustainable and impact investments, focusing on decarbonisation and social equality.
Material actions and disclosures
The Fund seeks to invest in debt securities from issuers that the Manager considers will improve their sustainable practices within a reasonable timeframe, typically five years. This includes assisting in the facilitation of the economy’s transition to a green economy through the use of renewable energy sources and promoting funding for newer climate technologies such as solar, wind, and hydro.
The Fund also aims to support sustainable buildings, improve waste management, and protect and promote environmental biodiversity. Additionally, it focuses on social equality and alleviating poverty across wealth, income, gender, and race through the provision of affordable housing, job security, and food security.
Forward commitments
The Manager aims to invest in companies that dedicate proceeds or are best in class in improvements of building construction, waste management, and energy efficiency. The Fund also plans to invest in social bonds where proceeds are used to address affordable housing, inequality, diversity, and inclusion, as well as building facilities for those with disabilities and promoting gender equality.
Janus Henderson Sustainable Credit Active ETF will continue to monitor and review ESG issues in respect of the Fund’s investments on a case-by-case basis and may take steps to realise, reduce, or cease making further investments in organisations or securities negatively affected by ESG issues.
