G360 Secures Second Commercial Supply Customer for Low-Carbon MKX Calcined Clay

Green360 Technologies (ASX:GT3) has secured Eifers Concrete as its second commercial supply customer for MKX calcined clay, a low-carbon alternative to traditional supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs).

Material actions and disclosures

G360 was the first company to commercialise metakaolin (calcined kaolin) as a supplementary cementitious material (SCM) in the Australian concrete market. MKX is a low-carbon partial cement replacement product that reduces the embodied carbon in concrete, the world’s second largest cause of CO2 emissions.

Eifers Concrete Managing Director Dan Eifermann said the agreement provides Eifers with access to a locally produced, high-quality SCM and puts the company in a strong position to expand its low-carbon concrete offering across major infrastructure and commercial projects.

Forward commitments

G360 aims to secure additional customers and grow sales, supported by the scoping study expected to be released this quarter on purpose-built MKX production facilities.

G360’s Executive Chairman Aaron Banks said securing Eifers as a commercial supply customer builds on the practical experience gained using MKX in infrastructure projects and is an important step in establishing repeat demand for a locally produced alternative to traditional SCMs.

As supplies of fly ash and slag become increasingly constrained, concrete producers are looking for alternatives that can work within their existing operations. G360’s production arrangement with Calix allows the company to supply customers now and build the market ahead of investment in dedicated production.
