The project benefits from a substantial existing approval and permitting framework established through its history as an operating mine.
Material Actions and Disclosures
The project comprises six tenements that are recorded as live and in good standing, with no material title defects identified. Key tenure considerations relate to the complexity of the existing operational footprint and the numerous agreements, caveats, private land interests, infrastructure assets, heritage obligations, historical approvals and ongoing reporting requirements associated with a mature brownfield operation.
Edna May is an established brownfield operation with existing approvals covering historical mining, mineral processing, tailings storage, groundwater abstraction, borefield operation, wastewater treatment, and mine closure activities. The project includes established mining, processing, power, and water infrastructure developed through previous operations.
Forward Commitments
The proposed Stage 3 Cutback is not currently approved and will require additional statutory approvals associated with the expanded mining footprint, infrastructure relocation, tailings storage requirements, vegetation clearing, dewatering, and any associated water management or construction activities. The required Stage 3 approvals have been identified and incorporated into the PFS development schedule.
The Competent Person considers there are reasonable grounds to expect that these approvals will be obtained within the development timeframe assumed in the Pre-Feasibility Study.
