Sprintex Achieves Energy Savings in Yufeng Group Retrofit, Targeting 500 High-Efficiency MVR Compressors

Sprintex, a leading provider of MVR compressor technology, has announced an expansion into industrial evaporation in China. The company will manufacture and supply compressors based on its current high-efficiency MVR compressors to Bosiwei, a local partner, for the retrofit of Yufeng Group’s existing evaporation and concentration processes.

The Core ESG Action

The initial deployment targets an energy-saving MVR system retrofit for Yufeng Group. Sprintex will provide its 30kW high-efficiency MVR compressor technology to replace legacy 110kW Roots blowers, aiming to reduce specific power consumption per tonne of steam recycled and lower site operational expenditure.

The company’s primary pillar is E (Environmental), with a focus on reducing Scope 1 emissions by 12% in 2026 and maintaining zero Low-Tech Indicators (LTIs) over 12 months. Sprintex has also established a board sustainability compliance committee to oversee its environmental performance.

ESG Themes and Impacts

The expansion into China’s MVR sector positions Sprintex within the world’s largest and fastest-growing market for industrial vapor compression and energy-efficiency equipment. The company is targeting 500 units per year for sub-3-tonne MVR systems across wastewater, chemical, pharmaceutical, and food refining sectors.

China’s sub-3-tonne MVR market represents a rapidly expanding segment driven by stringent national environmental policies, mandatory Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) requirements, and industrial decarbonisation targets. The global MVR evaporator market is projected to reach US$4.5bn by 2035, growing at a 7.1% CAGR.

Governance and Regulatory Alignment

The agreement is consistent with Sprintex’s broader strategy of working with established local partners to validate its technology and convert successful deployments into recurring product supply. Bosiwei will lead overall system integration, design, piping, PLC software configuration, and final site deployment.

Regulatory links include China’s national environmental policies and mandatory ZLD requirements, which are driving the growth of the MVR sector.
