Ora Banda Reports FY26 GHG Emissions and Climate Risk Assessments

Ora Banda has reported its FY26 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and outlined its approach to climate risk management, including the adoption of two climate scenarios and a formal governance pathway for climate disclosures.

Material actions and disclosures

Ora Banda measures and reports GHG emissions using methodologies appropriate to its regulatory and operating context. For FY26, the company reported total GHG emissions of 77,597 tCO2-e, comprising 76,703 tCO2-e from Scope 1 emissions and 894 tCO2-e from Scope 2 emissions (location-based).

The company’s approach to GHG emissions is consistent with prior period voluntary reporting and uses the NGER Measurement Determination to quantify emissions through direct measurement, invoice data, and metered or equipment activity records.

Forward commitments

Ora Banda has adopted two climate scenarios to assess transition and physical risks: SSP1-1.9 (1.5°C) and SSP3-7.0. These scenarios provide a basis for evaluating climate resilience across plausible future conditions.

The company has established a formal governance and disclosure pathway involving the Sustainability Committee, Board oversight, and collaboration with the Finance function to support the development of climate-related disclosures.

During FY26, Ora Banda identified and validated three significant climate-related risks for disclosure: water scarcity and supply risk, bushfire impacts on critical infrastructure, and carbon pricing and policy risk.

While the Sustainability Committee oversees climate-related matters, the Board retains accountability for decisions related to the Group’s strategy, risk appetite, and public reporting.

Management’s responsibilities include identifying and assessing material climate-related risks and opportunities, integrating climate-related considerations into the enterprise risk management framework, and preparing climate-related disclosures for review.

Ultimately, the Board reviews climate-related risks and opportunities at least annually as part of the Sustainability Reporting suite.
