BRG Group Achieves Net Zero Operational Emissions in FY26

BRG Group has reported its FY26 greenhouse gas emissions, achieving net zero operational emissions through a combination of measurement, reduction initiatives, and the retirement of carbon credits. The company also diversified its manufacturing footprint outside of China, with 85% of North American production value now in new locations.

The company diversified its manufacturing footprint outside of China, with 85% of North American production value now in new locations. Scope 1 emissions were 265 tCO₂-e, and Scope 2 emissions were 1,284 tCO₂-e. Scope 3 emissions were 2,000,543 tCO₂-e.

The company retired 1,600 tCO₂-e of carbon credits to offset emissions, including 160 ACCUs from the Aak Puul Ngantam Indigenous Savanna Burning project and 1,280 Gold Standard-certified technology-based credits from the Danjiang River Solar Cooker Project Phase I. The company also implemented energy efficiency initiatives, solar installations, and a carbon credit strategy.

BRG Group also launched the ThermoJet® technology, which is expected to account for at least 75% of 2028 sales of eligible espresso machines launched since 2020. The company aims to achieve 66% product energy efficiency by 2028.

Forward commitments

BRG Group aims to maintain net zero Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions on a gross basis. The company also plans to achieve 66% product energy efficiency by 2028 and to have ThermoJet® technology used in 75% of 2028 sales of eligible espresso machines.

The company also aims to retire carbon credits to offset emissions, implement energy efficiency initiatives and solar installations, and continue to diversify its manufacturing footprint outside of China.

BRG Group’s FY26 greenhouse gas emissions disclosures were prepared using internally documented methodologies, including scope definitions for Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 categories, data hierarchy, calculation methodologies, and emission factor sources.

BRG Group’s climate-related materiality assessment and scenario analysis are refreshed annually. The company’s climate-related risks and opportunities are identified, assessed, prioritised, monitored, and escalated through its enterprise risk management framework.

BRG Group’s Sustainability Committee oversees the company’s approach to identifying, assessing, and managing climate-related risks and opportunities, and reports and makes recommendations to the Board on significant matters requiring its consideration and approval.
