AIC Mines Reports FY26 Scope 1 and 2 Emissions, Outlines Climate Risk Governance

AIC Mines has reported its FY26 Scope 1 and 2 emissions and outlined its climate risk governance framework, including the formalisation of its Climate Change Risk and Opportunity Register (CCROR).

Material actions and disclosures

The company has measured and reported Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER) scheme, including emissions from its exploration sites in NSW and QLD, Eloise Copper Mine, and corporate offices in Perth and Sydney. The total Scope 1 and 2 emissions for FY26 are 57,155 t CO2-e, comprising 57,112 t CO2-e from Scope 1 and 42 t CO2-e from Scope 2.

AIC Mines has also implemented a climate governance framework to ensure climate-related risks and opportunities are appropriately managed. The Board reviews climate-related risks and opportunities annually, and the Risk and Sustainability Committee oversees and reviews these risks and opportunities each year.

Forward commitments

AIC Mines aims to continue improving its climate risk management practices, including the annual review of its CCROR and the integration of climate considerations into strategic planning and risk management frameworks.

The company also plans to develop a more detailed climate transition plan, focusing on fuel efficiency and renewable energy opportunities, to address its identified risks and opportunities.
